The library was founded in 1994, when the College of Political Science received the support of the IREX (International Research Exchange) program and the books and periodicals donations from the Soros Foundation. In 1998, the library became part of the B.C.U. „Lucian Blaga” Cluj-Napoca.

The library inventory (approx. 14.000 monographic volumes and approx. 2.000 periodical fascicules) continuously develops and covers the following domains: gender, sociology, nationalism, political ideologies, comparative politics, political theory, journalism, communication sciences, international relations, law, public administration.
The access to the library is granted by a valid BCU permit, which you can use in the Central University Library and also in all the libraries of the Babes-Bolyai University. (The permit can be released in any of the libraries.)

Working hours:: Monday-Friday 08:00-20:00

Loaning publications::
Any publication can be loaned during the day for 2 hours to be fotocopied or home from 18:00 until next morning by 10:00. Bringing he books later attracts a penalty of 5 RON/day/volume.
