Bogdana Neamțu is Associate professor, PhD, and Head of the Department of Public Administration and Management at Babes Bolyai University, Cluj Napoca, Romania. She obtained her PhD in 2008, with a thesis in the field of urban studies (urban growth management). After obtaining her PhD, she continued to work on topics related to urban sustainability (two post-doc research grants, one focusing on the measurement of urban sustainability and reporting and the other one focusing on sustainability considerations and tools in public procurement. She co-directs, together with her colleague Dacian Dragos, the Center for Good Governance Studies, a small research unit dealing with topics pertaining to free access to documents and information, ADR in public law, public procurement, corruption studies and other aspects pertaining to good governance. At undergraduate level she teaches courses and seminars in Decentralization and Regional Policies and Academic Writing. At master level, she teaches both for the English and Romanian language programs courses such as: Introduction to Urban Planning and Sustainable Urban Development.
