Admission Criteria: motivational interview in English, based on a cover letter and a resume, both written in English

Program Description

It is the first and only graduate program of public administration in Romania accredited by the European Association for Public Administration Accreditation (EAPAA), from September 2007. Aside from a Babes-Bolyai University diploma, graduates of this program will receive a certificate from the Institute for Public Policy and Social Research of Michigan State University, USA.

Program objectives

The design of the international master’s program in public administration emanated from the absence of an educational offering in Romania with the potential to provide consistent training in such domains as the management of public services, local communities and non-governmental organizations (NGOs).

The curricula of public service management / community development and urban planning / economic governance in the public sector / NGO management is directly related to the technical needs existing at the government and NGO level, following specific matters:

  • development of basic knowledge in administrative science
  • develop managerial skills and mindsets based on the need to streamline the public service operation
  • develop specialized techniques of action in the field (statistical analysis, evaluation, design strategies, etc.)
